Week one for our group is done. Got Heroic 10 Storming/Crimson and Rot/Fest down. We went to val next. Healer Comp is a Pally/Druid with a Druid or Disc on the outside. Two minor questions and I think our effort last night will be rewarded with a rescue this week.

Is it better to kill the aboms two at a time and focus on the other adds primarily.

Secondly, how many stacks of vigor should they be grabbing per dream phase. They are working in tandem to shard clouds after they get their initial vigor. We were lasting roughly 3 minutes till enrage.

focus on the other adds primarily, kill aboms when you have a lull in the action. as soon as 3rd portal phase hits our dps doesn't touch them.

Kill order on adds should be as follows:

Blazings --> Archmages --> Blisterings --> Abom/Rotworms

Kill suppressors whenever they're up as well, particularly if healers are coming out. Communicate with healers. If you have a DK in the raid, have them kite the blisterings as long as possible. If not, just tank them and kill them quick. The explosion attack they do on death isn't really a problem in 10 man. It's important if you are going to hold Aboms to immediately dispel the gut spray debuff off tanks.

If you can, have your disc priest go holy so he can throw guardian spirits on her for vastly increased healing. Coordinate it with your BL if you have it.

Healers should be able to get 4 - 5 stacks per portal phase in heroic they need to group up to accomplish this however because there are only about 8 total clouds and splashing is important. You mention you only use 3 healers. 4 is a huge advantage if you have an off spec option. even if you don't Ele shaman and boomkin can heal fine when respeccing in there standard gear as Mana Regen is not important. Killing mobs should be done with a kill priority similar to the one listed above. supressors are just after blazing if healers are out (fairly low if in). In some situations Archmages and blisterings can switch. figure out what works best for you.

One recommendation i strongly disagree with is having the outside healer re-spec holy. While the GS bonus is nice, it does not make a huge difference and Disc has much better tools to heal outside.

A lot of the hardmode is simply motivation in the 10man. It takes 3-4 portal phases just to get above 60%, which can be fairly demoralizing. You need 2 healers getting 4-5 orbs each time. Also, your healers should make sure that they don't take falling damage and that they communicate with the outside.

The hardmode really doesn't have anything critically different. We've done it with a wide variety of comps and comps without a holy paladin. At the end of the day, you need to ensure that your healers stay alive and don't lose stacks for any reason.

For our 10man hardmode, we use 2 tanks. One tank always picks up the abominations and archmages. The other tank gets all blistering zombies. For kill priority, we kill Blazing Skeletons --> Suppressors --> Archmages --> Blistering Zombies --> Abominations. We always leave a physical DPS on archmages for interrupts, and they usually do a hefty amount of damage on their own.

One last important thing is the AoE on the rot worms. When an abomination dies, everyone who has a viable AoE should start unloading as soon as the rot worms spawn. Rot Worms, in my opinion, have been the most deadly thing in the hardmode.
