Ok I'm trying to lose weight to get into the Air Force, and today, the recruiter weighed me with blue jeans, shoes, sweater, and billfold at 220 lbs (He said I should weigh in at 198 to get into basic). Yesterday I was at the gym in short sleeves, sweatpants, and I took my shoes off, and the scale there said I was 217. My mother weighed 155 yesterday. This evening, I went to the same scale in the gym, with the same type of clothing on, same situation. My mother still weighed 155, but I somehow weighed in at 213. WTF :confused:

Matter of time of the day, what you've eaten/drunk in the day so far, if you're retaining water from salty foods the last day and if you've pooped recently. All of those can add considerable weight, up to fluctuations of ~10lbs.
