Alright last night we were having some issues with BQL. One our Arc Mages can spike up to 30k+. She was getting bite first(one of our intended). But after she was bitten, BQL would languish in the middle of the room and start clearing out Omen list after the mage instead of going back to the MT. The whole raid noticed this. It happened four times with the mage and once with a hunter who was a little over eager. So we manipulated it so our rogue was bitten first. I was wondering if anyone else was having an issue like this.

So if anyone else has seen/experienced this or found a way for it not to happen. If at all possible we still want the mage to get bitten first but not with this bug/issue.

Was the mage in question using mirror images at the time? Because of how mirror images function there is sometimes threat related issues that can occur either as an intended or unintended side effect.

It is possible, I'll have to ask her since she does have the T10 4pc. But we also had the same issue once with one of our hunters. As for her, 2 out of 5 times we had this happen.

dont risk anything that siphons off threat like a mirror image or an MD as the first intentional bite. we had bugs with our mage and hunter where sometimes it would ignore the mage and bite 4th on aggro, or because our hunter MD'd the tank it wud give it to the hunter despite being about 6th on omen.

in short, the first 10 seconds just ease the dps in, get everyones ramp up time sorted until the bite comes out, then blitzkrieg the fight.

In general I would advise against risking "take it slow at the start" because that mentality is exactly what gets your healers bitten first. Instead of worrying so much about which DPS is bitten first, your primary concern should be that "a" DPS gets bitten first.
