Feral DPS really takes a good 'feel' to get the most out of from my experiences. I tend to run with a SR 3, Rip 5 rotation, and only FB if I've got 5 combo points and both SR and Rip have greater than 10s left on them. Saurfang is a great benchmark since there should be almost zero movement - what sort of DPS do you do on him?

Oh, and here's the EJ tome on the subject: Cat DPS Guide for Dummies - Elitist Jerks (http://elitistjerks.com/f73/t63774-cat_dps_guide_dummies/)

You're over hit capped and have a 20 hit gem in your prismatic socket of your belt. You can definately replace that. Definately need to work on replacing a trinket. Like the prior poster suggested, I think the larger problem is likely technique however. You could probably get around 6k dps on most stationary fights with the proper technique (though there could be other factors like latency as well slowing you down). Spend a little while over on the training dummies running recount and work on your rotation. Self buffed alone you should be able to break 5k. Make sure your rotation is correct, then work on it.
