I'll start of by saying this, i'm an inexperienced DK Blood Tank. However I do have some luck running heroics, but during raids i have a threat issue. Now my main concern is that I personally have never seen a Dual Wield Blood Dk Tank... which btw is currently what i am doing. So please im looking for advise, if someone can put me in the right direction i would be happy. I enjoy dual wielding b/c i can have 2 weapons that have dodge/parry/deff. is there any way that i can stay as blood spec dk dw tank? or do i better change something fast if i have a threat issue? please help

Here is my armory... The World of Warcraft Armory (http://www.wowarmory.com/character-sheet.xml?r=Akama&n=Infante)

The short answer imo is DW as a dk tank isnt optimal. you need an ASSLOAD of hit rating 27% vs only 8% with a 2 hander. 2nd i got excellet advice on rotarion (seen here http://www.tankspot.com/forums/f175/60379-death-knight-am-i-doing-something-wrong.html) my threat and DPS are way up and have no issues holing aggro to 8-15k DPS from the raid.

1. Blood should never dual wield. You need two talents in the Frost tree for dual-wield tanking to be effective, one of which is very deep in the tree.

2. If you're DW tanking, you should use two slow DPS weapons for threat. With fast "tank" weapons, your single-target threat generation will be minimal.

3. You do not need 27% hit, as the other poster said, for DW tanking. Hit past the soft cap (8%) only affects your white auto-attack damage, which is a pretty small amount of threat.

DW is for Frost Spec.

The first stats to look at is expertise for Frost DW. If you are relatively low in expertise in your current gear, it is better to stick with 2H blood. Base on your armory your expertise is below the soft cap.

Use a 2H weapon, replace Nerves of cold steel with epidemic and you are good to go.

first of all elite please do not use all bold.. this is considered a no no. Second do not listen to Zerorain you do not need 27% hit this will only efect a small amount of your swings... your specials as a DK will be coverd by the 8%.
for more info on caps and what they are I recommend

as it is a good explanation of the term.

on to your original question Harmacy is correct Blood DK and duel wield do not mix go frost and take a look at

and directly to you Zerorain... DK's can and do duel wield as tank and dps just fine. not only fine but optimal. please do not bring misinformation to these forums. In the thread you link Satorri responded with very good advice... I recommend you go read his work

To Zaubade; he wasnt asking about DPS he was refering to aggro, as a blood Tank. So DW would in this instance NOT be optimal. You need to read the post more clearly. Ty

I read your post very clearly, and you are unequivocally wrong.

read... read again... understand then come back. I never said he should be blood DW in fact I said frost is the way to go for DW.. you however said DK DW is not optimal. "The short answer imo is DW as a dk tank isnt optimal." Which is patently false. If you in fact meant to say that Blood DK DW is not optimal then you would be correct.

Hmmm OK. :) Just want to make sure correct info is presented to people that come for help. So we can agree. You do not need all of the 27% hit and DK's can duel wield really well as tanks.. long as they are frost and have the correct points for it.
