Just realized I clicked the wrong thread before, sorry!

I've been tanking for a few months now, self taught, and I'm looking online now to see other tanks and how they gem/chant and so forth and I'm getting the feeling that I'm a bit off on what I've been doing thus far.
Please take a look at my armory and give me some tips on how to improve.

Thanks,

Honestly, aside from a few gem choices and your chest enchant, you look pretty solid on the gear front. Just a few drops from some of the new instances will put you where you need to be.

What worries me most is your spec, as there are a few talent points i believe could be spent a bit better. IMO, imp disarm and puncture are some of those points you can free up. Imp disarm because its very limited usefulness in a raid and puncture because you'll have more than enough rage coming in to get anywhere near starved.

if you are looking to increase your surviability, put 1 more point into booming voice/or remove said point and put 2 into cruelty and then put 2 points into imp demo shout

here is a spec featuring imp spell reflect. http://www.wowhead.com (http://www.wowhead.com/?talent#LAZhrZVItrg0zidIzsGo)/?talent#LAZhrZVItrg0zidIzsGo (http://www.wowhead.com/?talent#LAZhrZVItrg0zidIzsGo)

i will note however that imp disciplines are somewhat more useful.

good luck

Spec is unusual..I'd skip puncture, improved disarm and improved spell reflection and you're leaving threat on the table without impale/deep wounds.

Gearwise: You're crit immune but you've still got defense gems. You'll want to fix that. Also, you generally don't want to gem for hit/parry either. Stam for the most part except for a dodge or expertise gem to activate your meta.

Titanium plating for your shield is meh..stam or defense is better.

You need more expertise. Roll up some badges for the off tier triumph hat (Headplate of the honorbound), that will help you resolve your current expertise problems.

Should I be avoiding gemming avoidance, except to meet my meta reqs, and just go all out stamina for my off color sockets? At 36k I tend to have more than most other war/pally tanks I see on my server, (highest I've seen pre-ICC was about 39k unbuffed), so I thought I was doing alright on that and I needed to start working on my avoidance a bit.

As for the helm I should have it by the end of the night, and I almost have all the mats required for the 245 crafted chestpiece.

Another question I have is my weapon, I'm consistantly being told to replace it but all the tank weapons I find seem to drop my stamina by abit, not to mention my much needed expertise. Any tips on what I should do for a weapon?

Your stam question is entirely dependant on the content you are working on. If you're doing heroic ToC or anything where staying alive is an issue, than EH trumps avoidance is most situations.

Your weapon isn't bad.
