Hello people's,

I have been into ICC 10 man with my guild. We sailed through the first two rooms to Marrowgar (prior to his nerf which I am told has happened) and we (like many others) failed to down him. My guild are now running ICC 10 man weekly however I am now not accepted to go as I have been told my gear score is to low. I do not question my GM as we are buddies as well, but I was hoping for some fellow DK player input in checking me out and seeing where my gear is at. As I stated before, we sailed through trash to the boss....Wow Heros states that I should be taking part in ICC10 man as optimal content for my gear level http://deathknight.info/forum/Smileys/webby/undecided.gif

However you need a gear score of 550+ (BeImba) I am told to even take part in ICC10 man (mine is currently 530) I am struggling with the concept of it considering what these audit websites are reporting back to me.

Personally I dont believe in gearscore...but a lot of ppl do and so I have to roll with it.

Short answer, You are slightly at lower end of gear for ICC10, I would not do ICC10 unless you are mostly atleast in TOC 10 gear.

Please dont get me wrong here but few things in your armory just gives wrong signals about you being serious about being a tank. I will try to explain below

Few things that really stand out in your armory (unless its all fuggled up).

1. Lack of enchants, bracers, shoulders, cloak, hands
2. You are DW tanking where you have points in 2h weapon specialization and no points in Nerves od Cold Steel
3. You are using fast tanking weps for DW'ing, tell me you probably did not research the spoec enough as even DW tank dk's are supposed to use slow DPS weps.

Few things I would like to add,

1. There are easy craftable upgrades for you chest, bracers and boots, Get them if you can

Spiked Deathdealers - Item - World of Warcraft (http://www.wowhead.com/?item=45560)
Breastplate of the White Knight - Item - World of Warcraft (http://www.wowhead.com/?item=47592)
Saronite Swordbreakers - Item - World of Warcraft (http://www.wowhead.com/?item=47571)

2. Spend more time in TOC10 still few things you can snag from there.
3. Clutch of Fortification - Item - World of Warcraft (http://www.wowhead.com/?item=47731) nice upgrade to look at.

Hope this helps

**Oh, btw I hate gearscores :)

I agree, toc 10 it up and make sure to enchant everything it will go a long way.

Consider going blood for raid tanking as opposed to frost. If your gonna stick with frost slow weapons are your friend.

No offence taken, but allow me to explain :D

1. Lack of enchants, bracers, shoulders, cloak, hands
These items have literally just been changed and so enchants etc have not been applied.

2. You are DW tanking where you have points in 2h weapon specialization and no points in Nerves od Cold Steel

I have also just turned to DW and have no respecced as of yet but I am aware of the points you made but I am also in control of that as I have just put down my 2 hander.

3. You are using fast tanking weps for DW'ing, tell me you probably did not research the spoec enough as even DW tank dk's are supposed to use slow DPS weps.
That comment is a bit presumptuous. I research a lot however as previously stated I have just changed over to DW so have yet to cap my expertise etc.

I am also (atm) farming my badges to put on my T9 chest and then I am trying to get upgrades from TOC 10 man.

I appreciate your input however.

Well sorry, but I was merely trying to help. I play my alt DK tanks as DW Frost, here is a link for you.
The World of Warcraft Armory (http://www.wowarmory.com/character-sheet.xml?r=Zul%27jin&n=Necromongor)

He is an alt and I barely have time to play him so I get him out as and when I can. But my personal experience says unless you are really tanking a raid boss, 26 expertise is perfectly fine, OTOH I have found threat to be superior with DW than using a 2h.

If you just farming heroic I would not sweat expertise much as of now just get decent amount of hit and thats all.

Personally I dont believe in gearscore...but a lot of ppl do and so I have to roll with it.
Here goes:

Your boots and bracers need to go ASAP. Those are the most glaring standout issues I'm seeing with your EQ.

Second, upgrade your sigil to the triumph badge Sigil of Insolence. The one you have is horrid in comparison.

Right now you're sitting at 560 defense because of your weapons. I'd suggest grabbing one or two Nighttime's or Black Icicles from the Halls of Frost and put Nerubian Carapace on them. You'll notice much better threat generation, even if you use just one slow dps weapon.

Consider re-enchanting your gloves for +Stam. (Heavy Borean Armor Kit). The +10 parry and +2% threat enchant is weak at best. In ICC, you'd be much better served by the +stam.

Pick up the Gladiator shoulder enchant for +30 stam (ignore the resilience).

Your talent spec is all over the place.

I'd suggest Talent Calculator - World of Warcraft (http://www.wowhead.com/?talent#j0EbZhxe0A0I0c0fuzAo0g:sakM0m)

The glyphs listed in here are mostly single-target. If you're going to be running heroics, consider swapping out obliterate for DnD and Frost Strike for HB.
