Hi,
as the Patch is probably going live next week, I compared two builds with the (4) bonus.
Item Comparison Tool - World of Warcraft (http://ptr.wowhead.com/?compare=51215:51216:51217:51218:50968;51215:51217 :51218:51219:49904)
By using the non-set Chest for Frost Emblems you gain
38 Defense
164 Expertise
in comparison to the craftable Legs:
78 Str
14 Armor
38 Dodge
77 Parry
Clearly the first possibility is more tps-orientated while the build with the non-Set Legs grants more avoid.
Which set would you prefer?

The non set chest gives over 1200 more armor... and more stam...
Gear for the encounter is still and always has been the general mindset for tanks. From the testing that I've done on PTR there are many different options of gear/glyphs that will help or make things a lot easier. There are a lot of other variables you have to consider than just using a certain piece of gear because it looks better for X and X stats, and omg more health! There are things that you should think about like... hey this boss is pretty much brutallus 2.0 all physical damage, fast swing timer, or heavy magic based damage, unmitigatable, etc... goes on and on.

I think I am going for chest mostly because of expertise on it.. since legs + Chest is like 20 expertise which probably will help itemize other slots diffrently
Still in the thought process though.

I currently have Hauberk of the Towering Monstrosity (258 version)
2588 Armor
116 str
182 stam + 90 stam for gems (total 272)
102 defense
86 dodge
78 expertise
The T10 264 version:
2641 Armor
162 Atr
219 stam + 60 stam for gems (total 279)
85 defense
77 dodge
0 expertise
77 parry
Therefore if you go from the Hauberk to the T10 264 chest you gain/lose:
+53 Armor
+46 Str
+7 stam
-17 defense
-9 dodge
-78 expertise
+77 parry
This is downright pittiful imo.
The badge chest:
3817 Armor
123 Str
207 stam +90 from gems
108 defense
0 dodge
82 expertise
Gains/losses:
+1229 armor
+7 str
+25 stam
+6 def
-86 dodge
+4 expertise
Gain/loss of Cataclysmic Chestguard over the 264 T10 BP:
+1176 Armor
+18 stam
+23 defense
-77 dodge
+82 expertise
-77 parry
If you need to build a raw avoidance set the T10 might be a good thing to pick up, but as far as both EHP and threat are concerned, the badge chest is the clear winner.
