I got an email sayiing I was selected for a free 7 days of WoW, and all I had to do was click the link. I clicked it, and it just brought me to the battle.net account site.

I want my free 7 days!

yes, and it was the typical account page. I couldn't find anywhere to redeem anything or anything. Just looked and acted the same as it always has.

Checked for keyloggers or was it a trusted email?

I thought that too. It was from the blizzard site.

And your WoW Account Management page isn't telling you that you got 7 days free play under payment history?

Write an email to Blizz then. :) Tell them you were promised a weeks free play by email, but can't cash it in.

Right under "License Status" right below where it will show your account name you should see it as "Frozen" (if you don't, that may be the problem), under that you should be a blue clickable link that says "Claim 7 free days of game time".

If you don't see any of that you need to talk to Blizzard.

Maybe try removing your 1-month recurring subscription.

EDIT: Yeah, that's the page where you should find it.

yeah but where would I do that? The only options are to add a game card, change payment method or view payment history. In the payment method though I don't have any sort of subscription.

Sidenote: I hate battle.net's wow site. I liked the old worldofwarcraft.com account management part.

Hmm. I hit cancel subscription, and it brought up a page saying it wasn't cancelled, and runs out on october 28th 2009....

So i cancelled it, eve though I cancelled it long ago.

Sounds to me like Blizzard has botched your account. I have 3 accounts tied to my battle.net account that are eligible for the 7 days.

EDIT: Just successfully redeemed my time. Send an email to Blizz or post over @ the Customer Support forum.

I sent a thing to their billing department. This is messed up. I'm sure they won't be able to fix it for another like 9 years, meaning I won't get my 7 days.

this happened to me, the other day. it said my account wasnt active... it seems that billing took a day to process my reoccurring payment.... what was weird is i was still able to play WoW. I just couldnt get onto the forums :rolleyes:
