View Full Version : T9 legs vs. ToC legs

So I might not be right here, but to me the T9 legs are not ideally itemized. Currently I am using Legguards of Abandoned Fealty - Item - World of Warcraft (http://www.wowhead.com/?item=47171), and I picked up the T9 conq legs in a PuG VoA10 (Wrynn's Legguards of Conquest - Item - World of Warcraft (http://www.wowhead.com/?item=48445)). The lack of any kind of avoidance and expertise makes me skeptical about these being an upgrade, but the raw stamina boost is somewhat appealing.
here's my armory: The World of Warcraft Armory (http://www.wowarmory.com/character-sheet.xml?r=Shadowsong&n=Seltis)

Well for one I see that you're at 24 expertise even with the Legguards of Abandoned Fealty. You need to have 26 for the softcap, so basically you can't swap those out just yet even if you wanted to :)
You're correct though, the stats on the T9 leggings aren't the greatest unless you're going for a blocking set, and the +hit is somewhat useless.
You already have the 2piece T9 bonus which is good, so I would just get the leggings off Jaraxus in ToC25, the chest off Beasts in ToC25 as well as the 75 triumph badge helm (can't recall name). Each of these items have +69 expertise which is a really nice boost.
At least that's what I did to get ever so closer to that hard cap.

Assuming you go for the socket bonus and use epic gems in the 232.
If we gem with a 10 expertise/15 stam gem and a 30 stam gem then the difference becomes
In this day and age, avoidance is abandoned in favor of EH, and the t9 legs have quite a bit of that over the ilvl 200 ones. What I would worry about, as said above is the loss in expertise, but with that said, you are gaining an equal amount of hit, and gaining strength, a little ap from armor and sbv.
My verdict is to use the t9 legs.

T9 legs are not the best itemised, but they are still giving you significantly more effective health than your current set, especially when you factor the sockets. TOC25 offset legs are certainly better but judging by the rest of your gear, that may not be in your reach at the moment. It is by no means essential to soft-cap expertise.
