View Full Version : Ready for Uld and/or ToC 10?

Hello, all. I've been working on my tank gear so that I can MT or OT Uld 10/25 and ToC 10/25. I'm most likely going to be doing 10 man content with my guild and pugging when I can. I'm posting just to have a fresh set of eyes looking at my toon to make sure I'm going in the right direction as far as gear, gems, and enchants.

Armory link: WoW Armory (http://www.wowarmory.com/character-sheet.xml?r=Runetotem&n=Dorkseid)

I know the wrist item will be my first upgrade once the guild starts raiding again, and I've run H OK multiple times recently for this item (http://www.wowhead.com/?item=37620) but it just hasn't dropped for me.

Anyhow, is there anything that should be immediately changed before I start trying to MT/OT for my guild and pugs as far as gems and enchants?

And as far as gear goes I'm not quite sure which emblem piece I should go for next. I'm grappling between the EoT ring (http://www.wowhead.com/?item=47731) and ranged (http://www.wowhead.com/?item=47660) items but I feel like the ring would be a better option b/c I would lose out on STA by getting rid of the shotgun. I'm also thinking of getting the EoC neck (http://www.wowhead.com/?item=45821) but I'd really like to hold out for the Ony neck item instead of spending the emblems. Opinions?

Anyway, thanks in advance to whoever looks over my toon and provides good tank insight!

Much thanks,

You should be fine for Ulduar and ToC10 - ToC25 might be viable if you have a sharp healing team but it will be very exciting as your current health pool is borderline.

There are some things you should immediately change however.

1. You're over 540 defense but still gemming for it. Get rid of those gems, particularly the blue quality defense gem in your weapon. Replace it with +30 stam.

2. Upgrade the blue-quality gems in your other gear.

3. Your wrists can be upgraded with badges or money - there are BoE valor badge wrists that are better than those blues and there is no reason not to have them at this point.

4. Blood draining would be better than titanium weapon chain.

5. Spec is pretty good overall, but drop the 2 points in Iron Will for improved charge. Iron Will is primarily for pvp.

6. Get a glyph of devastate to help with your threat.

For emblems - the clutch of fortification is a solid upgrade and I'm a fan of the headplate of the honorbound.

Thanks for the insight man...I meant to change over Iron Will a while back but completely forgot. Also good catch on the defense gems, I need to switch that out immediately.

Do you think blood draining over blade ward b/c of diminishing returns to parry?
