View Full Version : Too Much Defense??

I'm a protection warrior and my guilds MT. I know defense increases dodge and parry and reduces overall change to be hit. But, is there too much to where it has Diminishing Returns. I'm currently at 803 rating (563) defense. I'm not gem'ing for it. I"m using defense to shield and to cloak. But with not too many great substitutes I have kept it. Are there dimishing returns and should I switch out enchants on shield and cloak..

I would reenchant your shield and cloak, 18 stam/plating and 225 armor.

As suggested you can re-enchant your shield and cloak, but as you move further into ToC, your defense will naturally increase quite a bit over the 540 uncrittable mark. If you're gearing for survivability in progression content, worry less about "too much defense" and more about the stats you gain from it vs the alternatives.

There's no such thing as too much. I am sitting on 583 right now.
