View Full Version : Squirrelnut's Potential Gear List

08-25-2009, 11:40 AM
I am sifting through the BiS gear list and creating my personal BiS build from Normal 25m ToC and hardmode Ulduar. Keeping in mind some issues with hit from other threads (and not looking at any heroic gear yet) I modified some things to where I think I am fairly happy with this setup. See what you think and if you have any recommendations.

**Note** the wowhead profiler is bugged making me unable to add my BS socket to wrist. I expect to be using a 10 hit / 15 stam gem in the yellow wrist socket and have the 51 JC gem in the extra prismatic socket. I included stats from that added socket to my stats above.

That's a nice set up for to shoot for as I was worried about the lack of hit on i245+ gear myself. What enchant do you plan on using for the weapon? Hit/Crit?

What about Silverwing Defender? That has no hit at all but is an upgrade over Shiver. Would you pass that defensive upgrade for the hit?

Accuracy is viable (especially helping the hit situation) but I have been favoring Blood Draining recently because I never really have threat issues and might as well make my healers lives a little bit easier when doing hardmodes.

Easy way out - stam+hit-gems in all the yellow slots. Go.

With 5 yellow slots in that current setup (was already looking at using hit/stam in 2 of them) that leaves 3 potential hit/stam sockets. That would be 30 additional hit at the cost of 45 stam... dunno if its worth it but is definitely worth considering I suppose.

There's also the neck piece from Conquest badges on a fight that would require the extra hit rating.

I was tinkering around with the Wowhead profiler and came up with this one. Main differences are less expertise for more mitigation/avoidance. Also less hit rating but I have pieces with hit on for the fights that would require it (and 1% space goat aura). I'm also always glyphed for taunt these days as it has become quite useful.
