High-priority upgrades for a DK I can think of as likely for you to obtain in the immediate future is:
New shoulders from ToC 5man HC
New chest from badges
Bracers from last boss Old Kingdom
New rings from quest leading into GunDrak normal, quest in Oculus normal to kill the bosses there (you get it inside), ToC HC drop-ring
Stamina-trinket from ToC normal, and staminatrinket from 2nd boss AN HC or perhaps blue trinket with lots of defence from last boss HoL normal
