Warrior cobbweb cleanout. Spec/Rotation questions

Hi,

I just dinged my warrior 80 late last night and want to jump directly into tanking. I understand I am somewhat limited on what I will be tanking due to gear.

Epic Crafted Tanking Gun from Engineering
Tempered Titanstell Helm/Boots
Epic Tanking Neck/Ring
Blue BoE Back and Belt (socketed and soon to be enchanted)
the rest is a mix of the blue tempered saronite gear and my 70 Alchemist 54+def trinket, chest from ZA (level 70lol).
Sword from reg HoL and the crafted 77 Blue Shield.

My profs are maxed Blacksmithing and Alchlemy.

My rotations are typically.

Herioc Throw my secondary target and charge my primary. Shield slam my primary and thunderclap. Once they are grouped I dump a Shockwave into teh group. I then start in on Devestate/Heroic Strike/revenge/tab target spam on the rest of the pack. Mixing in TC/DS and SB as needed.

My questions are

Just dinged so I have the garbage leveling spec atm. Here is what I have planed. 2) What are some standardish rotations now?

3) Any possible quick tips for a very freshly dinged Warrior Tank.

1. That spec is a nice AOE tanking spec with Piercing Howl and Improved Cleave. Just as a side note, I would have taken 2/5 in Cruelty over the 2/2 in Booming Voice and I would also have taken another 2 points in Deflection over the 2 in Improved Bloodrage. I'm not sure I'd dare turn up to tank any progression bosses without 2/2 in Improved Defensive Stance either.

2. We don't have a rotation any more. More of a priority list. Shield Slam first, Revenge Second, then pretty much anything else that's up including Shockwave, Heroic Throw and Concussion Blow. Obviously Devastate when nothing else is available. I'm not sure how well Devastate compares in threat terms to these other abilities these days, so it may well be that Devastate has moved up that list in priority (At the beginning of a boss fight, always try to get those stacks of Sunder Armor up ASAP).

So i finally tanked some heroics on my warrior yesterday and I felt very squishy, squishier than i would have imagined even with my beginners gear.

I kept SB up when nessessary, debuffed correctly and and used my abilities depending on a solid priority list and still my health spiked. Maybe it's my spec?

I don't like blaming healers so I am looking for ways to improve my survivability while not nerfing my threat.

Oh and using the above stated tips and other i got here I had zero issue with threat. And had a very well geared hunter in our group.

Gear looks fine. You might want to drop a few points from protection (3/3 puncture would be a good place to start) and pick up deflection - it'll help your avoidance and make you a bit less squishy.

Also, if you're going to spec into improved cleave, get the glyph for it instead of Rapid Charge.

Thanks again for the tips. My squishiness, while i am sure somewhat due to the lack of gear, seems contingent on my group. I tanked H ToC and about 5 other of the "harder" heroics last night with no problem.

Too bad some ninja took the tanking trinket from ToC. Gogo retardins.

Fortunately, that tanking trinket drops in regular so you can just run it until it drops - should only take a few runs and you can pay off the healers/dps with abyss crystals if you have a 'chanter.
