Pre 80 DK Tank

So ive done a fair amount of research and its starting to look like blood may be the spec for tanking when you hit 80 and have the gear to make it work. My question is what spec works best for 5mans before you hit 80 as the gear isnt nearly any good for the most part and you can be very squishy as blood tanking (i tanked as blood once and did fine on threat but was uber squishy in UK)

my current build is Talent Calculator - World of Warcraft (http://www.wowhead.com/?talent#j0EGZhxx0AbIof0buzAo0x:TawM0m) minus a few of the points in blood as im only 71atm. Is this a more viable set up for non geared lvl tanking? or should i go blood?

Personally, I would stick with Frost until you reach a decent gear level. Blood requires a decent amount of effective health to make good use of your abilities. This is, of course, through personal experience only. I have no data, nor references to back this up.

Agreed. Stick with Frost until your gear is at least half ilvl 213+, and you will have a lot more success.

P.S. -- Spec looks good, you may want to consider dropping Scent of Blood for Morbidity, but its more personal preference than it is necessity.

The only points i have in blood atm are BB. I have also found at 71 my spec works quite well for dps, i just switch to unholy and can do around 780dps overall with around 1k for boss fights. Im in basically full Cobalt gear doing this also
