Help with threat / improving tanking

Hello,
We have 2 prot warriors tanks and so far they have always been great. They are also quite experienced, but I think perhaps for this reason they may not be up to date with the latest tanking changes.

Now that the DPSes upgraded their items/knowhow a lot, there has been a huge dps increase and the aggro/threat is becoming a serious problem.

As my guild's best dps I now have to be very carefull and do many long pauses (and I mean long) during fights to avoid taking the aggro from tanks. And the more the other dps progress the more have the same problem.

This almost never happened before with the usual strategies (e.g. wait 5-7s before dpsing on Patchwerk and so forth).

Unfortunately our tanks don't read english so I am looking for help for them.

1. Is something in need of optimization with their talents / stuff / glyphs?

2. I have seen a post with a threat rotation chart. Is it still valid?

3. I am completely overwhelmed with the amount of information there. Can you please recommend the 3 posts I should translate in french for them?

4. I have looked at Ciderhelms' armory. He has what seems to be 2 tanking specs 5/15/51 and 15/5/51, which specific roles do they play?

5. Lastly, can you please recommend which class is best for tanking Ulduar bosses? (e.g. DK is best for this boss, prot warrior for this one and so forth)

Hi,

first of all make sure they keep Vigilance up on a high Thread DD
and switch or recast it if that player dies.

I also highly recommend to change their spec into something like
Talent Calculator - World of Warcraft (http://www.wowhead.com/?talent#LAM00fZhbZMItrx0zidIzsGo)
for maximising Thread. ( 2 Points in Cruelty may be spent in Improved Disciplines)

(or Talent Calculator - World of Warcraft (http://www.wowhead.com/?talent#LVZGV00xZVhtrx0didszsGo) for maximising mitigation)


The system shown in http://www.tankspot.com/forums/f14/41426-ideal-warrior-single-target-threat-rotation.html is still up2date,
with on exception, afaik Concussion Blow is no longer used.
Plz notice that the system is not a rotation, its a priority system, so there is no "cycle" or something like this.

Also, maybe the dont constantly dump rage by using heroic strike.
In most of the cases you can push that button like a mindless monkey
through the whole boss fight :)

In most of the Boss fights (personal opinion ;) ) a DK should be the best progress Tank. My personal sense put them in first place when it comes to survivability but prefer Warriors for high Thread.

finally something that works well for me,
trigger Shield Block as often as possible to increase Shield Block Value for higher Shield Slam damage especially at the start of a fight and not as "Blizz Mini Shield Wall".

remember, tanking as a Warrior is hard work :)
spamming HS + watch your prior system should do the job.
