I just had another thread talking about this, and I thought this information belonged in this area. People are always asking if they are geared enough to be in certain raids. And as a Raid Leader and Assembler, I have been checking PUGs on these sites, as well as my own guild members. We had a PUG try telling us that they would be over 3000 DPS no problem, but when I checked their rating, they were in greens and blues and not rated to go past Heroic Dungeons ... I could immediately tell that person should not have been in Heroic Ulduar.
Be Imba! - the online Character Auditor for World of Warcraft (http://be.imba.hu/)
WoW Heroes - World of Warcraft PvE character info & ratings (http://www.wow-heroes.com/)
Both of these sites do much the same thing. They will pull your current gear and spec from the Armory, and give you a "rating" showing where you "should be able to perform well." This does not mean that the person behind the screen is good or bad at playing their class, but it shows what their character should be able to do with a competent person at the controls. Also, the sites show you where to get upgrades (using WoWHead), proper enchantments and missing enchantments, proper gem socketing, and several additional stats.
Check them out. If there are any questions, please ask. Thanks!
