The World of Warcraft Armory (http://www.wowarmory.com/character-sheet.xml?r=Velen&n=Dimplet)

Unbreakable Chestguard dropped last night, and basically i am wondering if i should take it over my T7.5
I would lose the T7.5 2 set bonus, and do not yet have enough pieces of T8 to get a new bonus

I also have a pair of the T8.0 Gloves from 10 man that i have been neglecting to put on due to not wanting to lose the set bonus

Basically
Valorous Dreadnaught Breastplate - Item - World of Warcraft (http://www.wowhead.com/?item=40544)
Valorous Dreadnaught Handguards - Item - World of Warcraft (http://www.wowhead.com/?item=40545)
vs
Unbreakable Chestguard - Item - World of Warcraft (http://www.wowhead.com/?item=45334)
Valorous Siegebreaker Handguards - Item - World of Warcraft (http://www.wowhead.com/?item=45426)

Opinions? should i lose my set bonus and go for the 2 new pieces, or stick with what i have?

Thanks

honestly its just not that huge of a difference. I think you can stick with the 7.5 bonus for now and be fine.

If I were you I would switch to the unbreakable chestguard and T8 gloves. The chest is arguably BIS and the hit from the hands would be nice for you, you're hovering kind of low on hit.

It's kind of a moot point because the decision will be made for you soon when you get another piece of T8 and have to wear the gloves for the unbeatable 4-piece bonus.

I'm in the same situation and I wear the Unbreakable Chestguard and 4/5 T8.

However, once I get the T8.5 chest token, I'm going to wear that and use Saronite Plated Legguards (http://www.wowhead.com/?item=45267) because I think they're a much better substitute than the Unbreakable Chestguard (personally).

The Saronite Plated Legguards - Item - World of Warcraft (http://www.wowhead.com/?item=45267) are nice for an EH set, but I like the tier legs better. I'll replace my chest with unbreakable when I get the shoulders.

Not to be argumentative, but on what fights do you prefer 89 Block Value over 826 additional Armor?

Replacing Tier leggings with Saronite Plated Legguards you lose 89 Block Value and gain 826 Armor.

Replacing Tier chest with Unbreakable Chestguard you lose 8 STR and 60 Parry and gain 51 Block and 12 STA.

So unless you're talking about building a Block Rating/Block Value set, I'm not sure how you can argue that using the Unbreakable Chestguard over Tier chest is a superior option to using Saronite Plated Legguards over Tier legs. At least in a "standard" tanking situation on almost all hard-htiting bosses in Ulduar, the 826 Armor is simply too good to pass up.

I like the block value, 826 armor is easy to pass up when you are trying to hold threat against the DPS in my raid. Especially fights like General where the casters are stepping in black pools and getting 100% haste, 100% increased magical damage and 70% mana cost reduction on spells. I like to strike a balance between threat and EH. The T8 legs fit my play style better, YMMV.

You can ask your DPS to hold back on threat.

You can't ask the boss to stop hitting you. :)

again, 862 armor is not game breaking. I would rather have my dps not have to hold back, makes for shorter kills.
