View Full Version : Transferring my alt

My server is ultra lowpop, and doesn't really ever have anyone doing lower 70 dungeons (UK, Nexus, etc) which is making it hard to level my 71 mage. I'm going to transfer him to a higher pop realm to level/instance etc.

I'm looking for a server that has a medium - high pop AT ALL TIMES. My server hits medium like once a day, for like 2 seconds. I hate it.

I'd like the server to be pretty decent on horde side. Not like a server that is like 11:1 ally to horde ratio. Pretty even would work.

I live on the east coast, but I have no problems with connecting to a central server. Obviously east coast would be best.

Any suggestions?

Before I Xfer I always do a little research on realm info. What I usually check is:

Timezone
Server Type
Medium/High Server Pop
PvE Progression for both factions

You can find this sort of info on:

WarcraftRealms.com - WarcraftRealms.com (http://www.warcraftrealms.com/)

WoW Guild Rankings :: WoWProgress - World of Warcraft Rankings and History (http://www.wowprogress.com/)

I went through this process for Alliance and these are the servers I came up with these about a month ago:

Scilla
Korgath
Black Dragonflight
Frostmane
Mug'thol
Shattered Hand
Executus
Burning Legion
Firetree
Gorefiend
Eredar
Azgalor
Archimonde

Also, if ping time is important, there's a list somewhere on WoWWiki that lists the servers by datacenter. I think Satrina posted a link a few days back. You might want to check that out as well.

I assume the link you were referring to is:

Actually, it's:
