Gems in uld

Ok so I know its probably been said somewhere else but I cant find it at the moment.

What should tanks be gearing for in uld25

I know its not threat
So my question is as a DK should I be gemming for avoidance or HP
my stats are

27% dodge
20% Parry
43k hp
and i am currently gemming for HP

Your stats look pretty good for Ulduar. About what mine are, and I was in all BiS heading into there.

IMO, you want hp/armor first and foremost, but pick up avoidance wherever you can... Def/Stam and Dodge/Stam gems to get Stamina socket bonuses. +24 Stam in the blues. Stam enchants wherever possible.

You need the high stamina to be able to take the huge spike damage in Ulduar. But avoidance also helps because a lot of times, the source of the spike damage is taking 2-3 hits in a row without avoiding at least one. Good avoidance (50%+) makes that less likely.

Also, don't forget about armor. Armor = stamina in most fights in Ulduar, because the melee attacks of the bosses hit hard. Armor on rings, necks, etc. is good, too.
