Hi guys,
This is my first proper post here. Anyway, I just wondered what your thoughts are on the itemisation of the Ulduar gear? As it stands right now, I've got 280 hit rating - which just seems insane. I still don't have the feet from Ignis, the gun from Razorscale, the cloak from Aiuraya, Titanguard or the neck from badges. I don't even use the 25crit/hit rating main hand enchant anymore (changed it to Blood Draining). If/when I do eventually get this new gear, I'm going to be in the region of 350-400 hit rating, and I don't have a single hit rating gem/trinket.
I don't know what your thoughts are but I just feel as though these points would be better spent in survivability (stamina, dodge etc). During progress raids, threat is never really an issue - not until we start doing hard modes (Hodir for example). As it stands right now, when we do start doing hard modes (and inevitably dropping a couple of healers) I'm not really going to be any more "solid" than I was in Naxx25 gear - I'll just be able to make more threat. Obviously hard modes are doable in current gear (they already have been) I just feel somewhat let down by the stat distribution.
I know it's not a "rule" as such, but I've always thought that threat should be something to gem/enchant/trinket for - not just passively gain loads of it through standard gear.
I know there are other options, and lots of gear with block value etc (we've been giving these to our pala tank), but even the Tier gear alone is stacked with hit.
I was just interested to see other people's thoughts, or more importantly, be told that I'm wrong and shown why :)
