Vanguarde is a casual raiding guild with the goals of providing a tight knit team of raiders the opportunity to test their mettle against PvE challenges in a positive, drama free atmosphere.
This is the ethos of Vanguarde:
(1) Have a positive attitude and be considerate of others. Having fun is a top priority!
(2) Bring the one character/class/spec to the raid YOU want to play the most. Have a drive to be the best you can be with that toon, and do not be bashful in asking for help to improve.
(3) Have a drive to be a member of a team with the goal of taking on PvE challenges. You are here to support the other members of the team, and the members of the team are here to support you.
(4) Wiping is not a failure, its an opportunity to become better.
(5) The goal of the team is to down bosses, not acquire loot. If loot is your concern, this is not the guild for you. Loot is a tool used to progress to harder content, not the end goal of the raiding experience.
All other policies regarding the guild come from consensus. Furthermore all policy changes, that do not conflict with the ethos, are always open for discussion by the full body of members.
At the moment, we raid twice a week for 4-5 hours, starting at 6:30server[MST] (hence the casual). Raiding more than twice a week is not out of the question, but at the moment, two nights a week are the only days "required" (i.e.-- You'll be there unless RL comes a knockin'... family/work/school comes first).
We are currently looking for the following lvl 80 characters:
DPS:
(1) Enhancement Shaman OR Frost(DPS) DK (Top Priority)
(1) Mage
(1) Feral(DPS) Druid
