Hi all wanted to post my armory here to see if anyone had specific input on my build. At the moment I see alot of warr tanks with high hp but often wonder about there dodge, parry, block. Currently for me dodge 23.3%, Parry 16.5%, block 26.8% with a defense of 542. my armory http://eu.wowarmory.com/character-sheet.xml?r=Kilrogg&n=Froria. What is the cap for dodge and block? And is Expertise criticle? I feel as tho i should stack a bit more in this department....

thanks alot for your input cheers....

There is no real "cap" for dodge or block, although dodge does suffer from diminishing returns. As far as avoidance in general is concerned, check this thread: http://www.tankspot.com/forums/f14/42074-balancing-avoidance-ratings.html - It will give you a good idea of the kind of balance to strive for as far as avoidance ratings, so you aren't hit too hard by diminishing returns. As far as I know, there is no diminishing returns on block rating.

Expertise is critical for producing threat, and is nearly always a better threat stat than hit rating. The soft-cap is 26, and that should be your first goal, although it is good to go as close to the expertise hard-cap as you can reasonably get without gimping your avoidance and effective health. As your gear gets better, this will get easier to do without resorting to gems and enchants that could otherwise increase your avoidance and EH.

As far as your armory goes, your gear, spec and enchants are all solid. Try to get to exalted with Sons of Hodir so that you can take advantage of their shoulder enchants. If threat is an issue, you might consider the +expertise or armsman enchant on your gloves. Otherwise, you're looking good.

Hope this helps; good luck!

I would also look to replace your gear on your feet with something that has DEF on it. That way you can replace all of those +16 DEF gems with more Stam, Expertise, Hit....whatever

My rule of them for gearing generally falls into the following points. Get defense capped, and stay near the cap. Shoot for 30k hitpoints and 25k armor. Focus everything else into hit and expertise. Take whatever avoidance comes with the gear, but don't worry about it other than that.
