So now that Guild Calendar is no longer supported, several of our guildies cannot use it anymore (hard drive wipes, new computers, etc.).

What are you all using to schedule raids? The in-game calendar seems to leave a lot to be desired . . .

My raid leader wants to use our guild forums.

I'm nudging him to adopt GEM 3. But I appointed the guy raid leader, so I'm going to let it be his call.

That said, look up Guild Event Manager 3:
GuildEventManager - Addons - Curse (http://wow.curse.com/downloads/wow-addons/details/guild-event-manager.aspx)

Author page:
GuildEventManager (http://www.wowgem.fr/)
(Its in English, despite being a french URL).

i decided to take advantage of the in-game calendar. the added convenience of knowing that everyone has it makes it an easy method of mass communication with the guild.

of course, there are some ways in which it is limiting, but i found a way to work within the confines of the in-game calendar system with my guild.

our raids occur at regular times. our invites always go out one week in advance. confirmations are given out on set days. (you can read about the other details at my guild's website, boulderfist<end game>.com (http://boulderfistendgame.com/raiding) specifically.)

i've also posted a few of my criticisms of the in game calendar system on the worldofwarcraft.com suggestion forums, as i feel it could be greatly improved. regardless, it's served its purpose for end game so far
