Hi All.

Just signed up to Tankspot as it seemed a good resource for tanking. I have been playing wow for the past 4 years or so, but never played as a Tank.

I just recently lvled my Human Pala to 80 and decided to spec him out as a tank. Luckily I have blacksmithing which I have lvled to 450 so getting gear as not been to much of a challange and I have managed to get my defense up to 528.

As far as I am aware I need to get up to 540 to start heroics and 550 to start Raiding. I did how ever read on some page random web page that you do not neceserly need the 540 as a palla to start heroics because of something or other. I was wondering if this is true? If not I guess I am stuck with normal intances untill I can get some better gear. At the moment I am aiming for KT rep so I can get the Fireproven Gauntletss which should bring me up a bit more.

The World of Warcraft Armory (http://eu.wowarmory.com/character-sheet.xml?r=Aszune&n=Dupablada)

I need to upgrade my trinkets and and cloak as well if any one has some suggestions to get my def up a bit more.

The numbers should be 535 for Heroic bosses (lv 82 mobs) and 540 for raids (lv?? mobs).

As far as rep factions to focus on first Wyrmrest Accord offers 3 extremely good blues at Honored and Revered (cloak-at honored and chest/boots-at revered). Then be sure to get the helm enchant from Argent Crusade. Those 3 things help with getting your defense up to the crit immune target for Heroics and raids. The Tempered Titansteel Boots are good replacements for the Wyrmrest boots once you start seeing your defense rating climbing over 540 for a nice stam boost.

Hello

For heroics I believe its 535 but I would still go for 540 to be at the uncritable. I don't know a lot of about pally tanks so someone can correct me. 2 things that jump out is you don't have a head enchant (Arcanum of the Stalwart Protector - Item - World of Warcraft (http://www.wowhead.com/?item=44150)) and a defense enchant on your cloak. I know you don't want to waste money on something you aren't going to keep but thats the life of a tank.

Thats a good place to start. Getting uncritable is very important or you will drop at random times.

Run HoL for the tanking trinket. I'd go for the daunting legplates. Get the Wrymrest chest and boots.

Also you'd probably do well by reading the rules posted in my signature or at the top of every forum before you make threads. It saves the moderation a lot of trouble moving threads around in the future =].

In which case, this belongs more in the Armory forum than anywhere else, but yes read up on the forums, and use the search function!

Moved.

Hi there. Sorry about taking so long to reply back. I think I got what I needed and I managed to get my def up and am now happily doing heroics. I think a bit more stm and some better gear and I will be heading towards raiding.

Again sorry for getting the wrong forum.
