View Full Version : Tips on my stats/gear/gem setup

I've mostly been my guilds OT in H naxx but lately I've been MT a lot more and I'm kinda stumped atm about whats more important for me as far as stats being MT. I know I have trouble keeping up with threat against the pally tank in our guild that's usually MT (and I know about the undead bonus they get). And I've noticed that my damage is in-between 1.2k and 1.4k in a full naxx clear while other tanks including a druid tank is usually at 1.6k and 2k the whole time. So my questions are: should my dps be higher? Should I gem expertise/stam over avoidance? I know I need more of something but not sure what.. kinda frustrated at the way warrior mechanics dependencies are atm.. I just need some MT tips on what I need and dont need and what my stats should. I'm kinda afraid to gem def/stam or the like, and lose too much threat... please take a look and give me some tips thanks in advance.

Your wrist is in dire need of replacement:
Bracers of the Unholy Knight - Item - World of Warcraft (http://www.wowhead.com/?item=40306)
Bracers of Dalaran's Parapets - Item - World of Warcraft (http://www.wowhead.com/?item=40734)

Once that is taken care of you should try to look into replacing your Seal of the Pantheon with a more threat/stam oriented option while remaining def capped.

Other then that your gear looks fine, you could optimize some pieces around expertise but even if you don't I would think you should be able to consistently do more dps then 1.2-1.4k

It couldn't hurt to follow spec convention and take 1 point out of Shield Specialization and put it into Cruelty to meet the 15/5/51 spec standard but more importantly I would double check your rotation.

EDIT: Keep an eye out for Ablative Chitin Girdle - Item - World of Warcraft (http://www.wowhead.com/?item=39759) and Legplates of Sovereignty - Item - World of Warcraft (http://www.wowhead.com/?item=40589) as I consider them BiS for Prot Warriors
