Mission Statements and Guild Policy

I'm hoping to get some input on what successful mission statements / charters and policy write ups look like. Copy&paste from your websites would be awesome.

I'm especially interested in documentation from raiding guilds, though pvp guild stuff would be titillating as well. I've seen some examples of mission statements, but almost no guides, forum discussion, advice or examples of how guilds are writing effective policy. As examples: what is the foundational documentation that describes proper raid ettiquette; progression through guild ranks; punishment.

The mechanizing your guild (http://www.tankspot.com/forums/f205/36437-mechanizing-your-guild-part-1-a.html) podcast was one of my favorite podcasts. I would like to see more along these ideas.

All of our public policies are here (domain name possibly NSFW): Clowns on Fire :: View Forum - Guild Information (http://gofuk.org/forum/viewforum.php?f=27) for people to read and get an idea who we are. The tone of writing very much reflects the tone of the guild.

We have a bunch of announcements and a small number of other policies in a members only forum. They are generally regarding waitlist, getting the healing addon we use (if a healer) and the loot addon we use (everyone), and other general things that aren't relevant to non-members.

We also have a forum that only recruits and officers can see, with several posts that answer frequent recruit questions and explain other basics for the guild.

I've never heard of recruiting one member per raid to be an officer for the day. Has this been successful in garnering productive feedback?

We get good feedback, yep. People also gain an understanding of guild operations, a better sense of belonging, an appreciation for some of the more retarded things we have to deal with, and we always have fun in officer chat so it makes us a bit less "unapproachable"
