View Full Version : What are the "tankspots" for other classes?

I'd like to put together a good list of 2-3 different sites per class to use as a guild resource. Sometimes you only need 1 site (like tankspot or bigredkitty) to get a pretty darn good all in one resource for an entire class. Other blogs are more spec specific.

Anyways, what other web resources do you guys use to improve your game?

i would like to point out that bigredkitty should not be used as an absolute resource for hunter information, in the past much of his blog has been personal opinion without facts to back it up, other times he has been flat out wrong about things. i am not saying it is a bad site, but you should take it for what it is, the blog of someone who plays a hunter.

BRK also has a pretty in depth forum community. A blog is more than a front page. :P

the 2 i recommend as far as druids are The Druid Wiki home (http://druid.wikispaces.com/) and WoW Feral Druid Gear Lists (http://www.emmerald.net/)

i worked closely with toskk the admin of The Druid Wiki home (http://druid.wikispaces.com/) on my feral write-ups in reguards to the cat segments (as my experience is almost exclusively as a tank)

I agree with the Big Red Kitty statement.

WoW-Insider has a blog written by usually, somewhat competent people for each class. Again though, I wouldn't trust Big Red Kitty.

I agree with my original response to the BRK comment.

Seriously, that'd be like someone trashing tankspot by only looking at the posts on the front page. That's like 1/5000 of the content available on here.

The maintankadin link is awesome. I copied that and added some to it. So any others you guys think of I can just add on.

shadowpriest.com

Haven't been there much lately as I don't have my priest anymore but it was really nice in TBC.

Not so much a forum, but a compilation: : Welcome (http://www.raider101.com//wikka.php?wakka=HomePage)

Someone on here pointed it out, and I like the idea.

OK, there's not even two classes I know. . . there's two SPECS in two classes that I know.

I know prot warriors and I know BM hunters. And this site is way off base with its BM hunter.

For shot rotation is has arcane shot coming before steady shot. Umm. . . no.

Then it says avoid expertise because it only effects melee attacks. Umm. . . you're a BM HUNTER! 45% of your DPS comes from melee attacks! OMG

Anyways, I won't totally dismiss it. But it needs some work.

EDIT: Actually I'm finding out I'm wrong. So never mind!

Isn't the point of raiding from a hunter to stay back?

Interestingly enough I can't find a solid answer. If it shares hit rating with the hunter sharing exp would make sense. But half a pets "special" attacks are considered spells. I forgot that. However, the majority of a pets DPS is white damage anyway. It'd be worth getting a straight answer. . . I'll keep looking.

Yea I found confirmation that it doesn't. Good thing I don't need to regem. :O haha
