View Full Version : A note to unhappy sprint users!!

Ok, so I don't have sprint, but I am still going to pass this info along.

As of January 1st 2009, Sprint has raised their Admin Charge from 0.75$ to 0.99$. ALL SPRINT USERS have until Feb 1st 2009 to cancel their accounts with no EFT. Meaning the huge early cancellation fee is waved. You can cancel it over the internet through their website chat, they will offer you decreased rates, or a small credit, but stay on course and tell them you want to cancel, because legally you have the right.

I was skeptical of this, but I have a friend who was unhappy with her service, wanted to cancel but had to wait 1.5 years, I gave her the info, and her husband had in cancelled for free in about 1 hour.

Just ask them, "Is it true the admin charge was raised from 75cent to 99cents?" and when they says yes, you say "then legally I can cancel my account with no EFT fee, right?" they say yes again, you "DO IN NOW!!!!"

Just a heads up for people that want to change, even if you dont want to change, you can probably get a small discount or credit from them.

As a former Verizon CCR(Customer care rep), this is true. But expect to jump though hoops to do so,

Ya, my friend said it wasn't the easiest thing to do, but it is your right, and if you so choose, by all means pursue it.

Thanks for the tip! Got me out of another year's worth of a contract on plan that wasn't worth what I was paying for it.

I considered it, the problem is no one has a better deal for me for 4 lines (fucking kids getting phones) then sprint has right now, and anywhere I switched to I would have to buy all new phones (yes I know their are free phones, but do you think my wife and kids would actually use a free phone?)

Yes, but you can call in to "cancel" and they will offer you a lot of stuff to stay. A month free, a discounted phone right now, a lower package, ect ect

lol they didn't offer me a thing when I called to cancel.
