DPS Chest - Hit vs. ArP?

So I spend 99% of my time IG tanking and up until the last two weeks or so my luck on acquiring gear has not been the best via drops. So low & behold I'm in ZA w/ my guild, so we down Akil'zon and he drops Bloodstained Elven Battlevest - Item - World of Warcraft (http://www.wowhead.com/?item=33215). So I luck out being the only plate wearer in the group. So, fast forward to last night we end up running H. MgT and Kael drops Netherforce Chestplate - Item - World of Warcraft (http://www.wowhead.com/?item=34615), again being the only plate wearer I snatch it up. So my luck turned a bit for sure :).

So now I'm sitting in game last night, looking at my DPS set and wondering which piece would be better? My gut tells me that even though the Bloodstained is a higher item lvl, that the Netherforce will end up being a better choice. My basis for this is that +Hit > ArP, being that I'm not hit capped in my dps gear. I do loose a bit of armor, crit & sta but I figure most of that could be made up for via the sockets.

I mean sure I will keep both pieces for a while atleast, but I'm just wondering whats going to serve me the longest being that my gearing by & large will be for tanking. Thoughts?

Depends on what the rest of your gear looks like, but the Netherforce is a much better piece than the Bloodstained. Bloodstained put too much itemization to ArP and gimped the rest of its stats, Netherforce is a much better balanced piece.
