First off, I have been reading this forum for a while and it is impressive. Thank you to all the people that put the time into updating and managing the information. Best Wow website!

I wanted to post my armory link to solicit advice on things i need to do next. I was diong PVP but changed to tanking, which is why i have the S2 gear. My current plans are:

1) Get felsteel leggings crafted and maybe gloves
2) Get Myrmidions Headress
3) Get Mark of the Ravenguard
4) Protector ring from SMV
5) Run Shattered until i get the tank trinket to drop

Is there anything else that anyone would recommend? From looking that the gear lists i could not see a lot of other upgrades before raiding or heroics, but i am knew to this.

I appriciate any and all advise.

Boots from escort quest in Mana Tombs.
Don't worry about Felsteel Gloves.
There is a quest in Netherstorm call Destroy Narberius! the reward is another trinket. It has +def (which you need).

Check Polar's guide to pre-kara. It's gonna be a bit tougher to hit 490 now with all the changes.

not you...me. i just deleted my novel of recommendations and realized what you probably could do is just go ahead and jump in the deep end. kara and early heroics (SP, bot, mech, etc...). dont waste your time in regular 5-mans and questing...

your health and armor are high enough to get you through early kara and heroic tanking with an equally geared group. you are well beyond uncrttable with your def/resilience combo (at 70) and could probably shed some of those +def gems for str/sta or sta gems (now that 3.0 is here thats not a gimme anymore). patch up some other holes (i.e. enchants on cloak, gloves, bracers, glyph on the helm, swap out the inscription on your shoulders for more avoidance, etc...).

i have seen people do kara and early heroics in less...well, attempt at least. if you are up to the task (learning the fights and playing well) your gear shouldnt hold you back and that will let you start seeing tank drops from those early bosses and heroic instances. those will be the best upgrades.

dont go backwards when you can go forwards.
