I am a little bit lost on where to go with my gear. I tanked up to Curator tonight and it was a bit rough but it was also a PUG. I need to get the belt out of the Arc key quest but not sure on what else to do. Any recommendations? Would like some more gear for next Saturdays Kara so I come a bit more prepared as a main tank.

what exactly was "rough" about the run? your gear isnt bad, so i dont want to make recommendations that have already been spelled out in a pre-kara gearing guide (http://www.tankspot.com/forums/f97/32315-warrior-s-guide-karazhan-gear.html), but i would be happy to address specific concerns you might have.

The first thing I reflect on is your hit rating, Its a bit low. Since it increases your chance to hit your enemy and give you rage to use against it.
Other then that the gear will come as you continue tank Kara and with the gear also the stats will increase.
I assume you spam shield block whenever possible to keep you uncrushable.

Otherwise as stated above a specific problem is needed in order to help out.

If there was one stat I never worried too much about, it was hit rating. Stamina and avoidance comes first and being a pre-Kara/Kara tank gives you even less flexibility with swapping around gems and enchants.

ditto on the hit rating.. you dont need it much in pre kara gear.. u'll start seeing and needing it more as you venture your way into SSC and other t5 content... post 3.0 it wont be available as much.... but hey. do what you can...

anyways...

look into getting some thrallmar rep for that nice tanking axe there, i recommend running Heroic Ramps for starters for the belt. if your still not doing kara as OT then run a few heroics like sethek halls, ramps, Bot, and a few others for some tanking pieces. also you can get shatt rep and get shield of shattrah from rep vendor. as you save your badges from the heroics try getting some of the isle badge gear. i recommend the legs first then the chest then the belt/ring. and as you start doing kara you'll start seeing more gear come your way.

Op's belt does come out ahead of the one out of Heroic Ramps, even though its rare-qaulity compared to the epic Ramps one.

Shoulders Replacements: Season 2 Shoulders, Shoulders off of Murmur non-heroic, Shoulders off of the first boss in Auchenai Crypts (Heroic) or the last boss of Sethekk Halls (Heroic).

Chest: There's a quest-reward in Nagrand that is very nice, the demon camps chain given by Altrius the Sufferer.

Boots: There's a quest chain from non-heroic Mana Tombs which gives very nice boots. You get the chain outside the instance and then have to do an escort inside.

Rings: I wish I could remember which quest-chains give good rings or even instances. I think there's that one chain in Shadowmoon Valley where you kill those groups of Blood Elves at Illidari point which leads to a few more group quests and there's a nice blue-quality ring there too. Not great but better than nothing.

You're also an alchemist and while your trinkets are nice now, making the alchemist trinket if you have the money will let you use a more stamina-orientated trinket in the other slot.
