The world has eaten a lot of chicken fingers. Where are the chicken thumbs? They must be accumulating. (Paraphrase of Mitch Hedberg, who makes that line funnier than it will ever be on the internet).

Also, w00t.

Question, will the talent trees released with 3.0 be permanent, or can and will they be changed again for Wotlk?

Lore

Gotta pick it up after work. Excited tho. Not sure if I continue upgrading my warrior till then or if I level up a new toon to 70 in those 2 months.

There are 9 Karazhan IDs until release, giving me around 150 badges, maybe more, depending on the amount of failure the group is putting out. Hmm maybe some more heroics so I can buy some badge stuff that will last me to 80 ... We'll see.

I'm said it won't be released in my country (Brazil), and all pre-order sites do NOT ship international

/cry

If anyone knows a way to workaround this, please let me know

Get a guildmate to buy it for you. Then have them overnight it to you.

I'd just like to take this time to announce that Kazeyonoma is a complete and total noob.

Totally unrelated to anything, but an important announcement nonetheless.

I make a mean Chicken Pot Pie, and I'll say straight up chicken fingers are better. I think I'll just pick up the normal edition at Best Buy or EB games like I do with every Blizzard game.

I guess you can ask for a friend to buy it for you, wait until they open digital upgrades or try unofficial websites that buy the game and sell the key.

This happened to a Russian guildie when TBC was announced. He managed to get the files somehow so I bought another copy of the game in my country and gave them the key in-game.

I took "checken" to be a verb. :)

And pot pies > chicken fingers? HELLZ NO!

I like escaltors because they can never break. They can only become stairs.
They should never have an "escalator temporarily out of order" sign, instead, "Escalator temporarily stairs. Sorry for the convenience."

Pot pie is kind of scary. That whole creamy meat and... stuff... thing.

Now, Shephard's Pie on the other hand... Chicken fingers can't even come close.

Apparently Hypatia is British? What is this madness?

I submit that Chicken Fingers are in fact greater than any non-desert pie, but only given the correct sauce. Sweet Baby Ray's Honey BBQ. There is no substitute.

Also, I already have a vacation request in for the 13th and 14th. I just hope my boss doesn't play WoW too, or he will figure it out pretty quickly.

Hypatia
09-16-2008, 08:38 AM
Why should that be a problem? You can take vacation for anything you want. Now if you were calling in sick...

It's a sad but inevitable truth that taking time off to play a video game will be frowned upon. Obviously they can't technically fault me for it, but my boss being the straight-laced stereotypical professional, he won't be happy.

Hypatia

None Of His Goddamned Business.

Of course, that won't stop people from being idiots. *sigh*

(And for reference, I have one of the world's most anal bosses. I don't think he understands my gaming habit at all. He won't cut me any slack at all in schedule for playing a video game at late hours with people from the west coast—and honestly, he's right not to. (Whether he's right to be quite so anal about schedule in this sort of job is another question.) Anyway, he doesn't get it—but he's also a mountain climber—like, went to the Himalayas last year mountain climber. So he doesn't get it, but he does understand about rather extreme hobbies, and I think relations between us have actually gotten better now that he understands my schedule constraints more.)

Anyway, touchy issue for me. Employers have no stake in what you do outside of work. Period.
