I am relatively new to tanking, or at least in 10 mans. I essentially went 1-70 almost completely through questing with very little in line of instances and I was speccd Fury. Once I hit 70 my guild (who was seriously deficient in the tank department) convinced me to go Prot spec with my warrior. I seem to have issues generating threat quickly enough to keep folks happy. My suspicion is that they just come in blazing and I never have an opportunity to generate enough threat. I am looking for suggestions on what I can do to improve. Fortunately money isnt a problem, so if I need to buy something I can and will, but I am not sure where to proceed from her. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

The good old "3 sunder rule" never hurts. Especially if you are a bit behind in gear level of your guildmates.

Drop charge and improved defensive stance, you definitely want focused rage and many would argue imp hs and imp thunderclap wouldnt be bad choices either (imp taunt and imp revenge are possible places to lose points.

Are you losing agro on single trash, single bosses or aoe groups? Is the guild used to a prot pally for example tanking? Gearwise: expertise and hit are the best ways to go for threat.

That is the issue I believe, the main tank had always been a protection pally, who just immediately grabs and holds the threat. I was looking at moving points out of imp def stance, thanks for the suggestion.

Usually I try to run along the lines of:
SS-Revenge-Devastate-TC(if no CC)-SB, throw in Taunt and HS whenever needed or as a rage dump. And not necassarily in that order.
