View Full Version : Fury set!

Hi, I have been playing as fury for our Brutalus /felmyst/twins kills lately but my DPs isn't really stellar (1900 on brut) and i am wondering how people are gearing.

I am sitting with:
2140 AP
32.06% crit
206 hit
750 ArP

I have armoried alot of the top end fury warriors and they are sportin less hit and More AP, i was wondering if dropping to 180 or 170 hit is safe for these high end fights. when i see myself below 200 hit i get all skidish though and worry about my rage generation and such things.

Looking for a little feedback here is my armory too just to see what i can re-gem or replace.

You are much more progressed than I am, but I have never heard of a fury warrior deliberately trying to get over 150-160 hit rating. As long as you are not getting rage starved I would definately push for more AP/crit/ArP if you can get it.

As long as you're over 95 hit rating, you should never pick hit over attack power, crit or armor pen.

While lower hit will lower your rage gen, the fact that you'd be replacing that hit with ap or crit will increase your rage gen, and the increase from AP outweighs the decrease from lack of hit.

In other words, purposefully keeping your hit over 200 is just gimping yourself. Take the upgrades, and only worry about your hit if you're dropping below 100...which at your level of progression shouldn't happen, because many pieces of gear at least has a small amount of hit on it.

Agree with Ebs, I am at 182 hit right now, but only because I got badge boots and rage shoulders on the same night. As soon as I get a few kara's in I am getting the badge ring, which will drop my hit back down to the 150's.

You're logged in pvp gear atm...

Anywhere from 150 hit and up is good for fury. Sweet spot seems to be anywhere from 150-200 as long as your crit and ap are strong. I play with my fury gear a ton, and right now my stats are 2240 ap, 31% crit, 1378 ArP, 163 hit and I'm very happy right there. The hit definitely doesnt seem "too low".

I'm doing perfectly fine with 123 hit atm.

well recently i left my guild to hunting for mh/bt guild but i receive comment of my geming and its poor and they saying "yup. 27-28% is enough. but not to keep up 100% flurry.

45% Crit should be enough to keep Flurry up almost all the time (90% assuming 1 instant attack every 3 swings) using the 1-(1-c)^(3+I) formula."

how u except me to do that u can teach me the correct way to gem til that standard they mention. pls :o

and how to calculate that formula??

45% crit is not a realistic goal. I try to keep over 30%, I have heard of fury warriors going as high as 35, but 45 even raid buffed isn't happening. And my only issue with tour gems is you have 2 hybrid stam gems equipped...but they do not get you a socket bonus? If you are using them for your meta, try to find a spot to use them that will at least get you a socket bonus for having to use a less than perfect gem. Oh and you logged with Moroes watch on your dps set...not gonna ask about that one....

im still looking for trinket to replace that i cant get a grp in H mgt if i go as my tank i wouldn't get a chance to roll for that trinket [Shard of Contempt] (http://www.wowhead.com/?item=34472)

08-26-2008, 09:38 AM
Hourglass of the unraveler has crit if you want more. And why wouldn't you get a chance on shard as a tank? A. Its a tank threat trinket. B. Screw rogues anyways :)

08-26-2008, 09:40 AM
yep Screw Rogues. Just don't invite one. Bring a Huntard a Mage and a Lock for a nice smooth H Magisters run.

08-26-2008, 09:41 AM
pft, I got my Shard as a tank. It's the best threat trinket in the game, AND the best fury warrior DPS trinket in the game. Just join the group and say that if the shard drops, you plan on rolling on it. If they don't like it, then just find another group...but most people don't care

well can u help on my geming of my gear those comment i got they saying" I'm actually quite disppointed you don'y use epic gems even in at least the belt, which is the best in slot before sunwell. Also the gemming in the chest is disppointing, you could have work around it by regemming the other pieces."

how do i surpposed to work on that if i gem in at + str i cant get my meta gem bouns

08-26-2008, 09:44 AM
oh Curn and Tatt....im wearing leather booties and I feel.../fruity

08-26-2008, 09:45 AM
It took the boots to make you accept that you were fruity?

08-26-2008, 09:48 AM
im following gemming from MaxDPS.com - World of Warcraft Gear Rankings - News (http://www.maxdps.com) but i realise they dun seen to care abt ur meta bouns or the item bouns.

08-26-2008, 09:51 AM
Head gem is fine
Chest use a 4 strength/6 stam gem and two 4strength/4 crit gems
bracer use a 4 strength/6 stam gem

Your belt and legs you could put 10 strength gems in, you will probably not replace either piece before the xpac, so you would not be wasting gold or badges in the process.

08-26-2008, 09:54 AM
so thats all i have to change well gold earning getting epic gem its easy i do farm daily quest almost everyday so i dun have issue on that

08-26-2008, 09:58 AM
oh ya wats the suggested spec and ready check for mh/bt example the hit rating capping muz be cap in wat rating and wats the crit chance i should keep up with and other more hope i get the help on here so a mh/bt guild can accept my application

08-26-2008, 12:04 PM
Umm, having a little trouble understanding what you are asking. Should you get hit capped? Hell no, its like 400 for a fury warrior. 95 is absolute minimum, 150-200 should be a good goal. Spec 17/44/0 is the standard for fury. I would shoot for for over 2000 Attack Power, over 30% crit, and over 150 hit unbuffed. Those stats should serve you well in a raid that is just starting hyjal.

I'm in a just-starting-T6 guild with only 119 hit rating. Our normal melee group now is:
Enh Shaman
Feral Druid
Fury War

With this makeup, I top the DPS charts, and am even in the top-5 for MH trash over some other warlocks/mages.

You don't need 150-200 hit rating. You need 95 minimum. After that, get hit rating if it comes on good upgrades (3 dps stats).
