Weapon choices and gear choices for heroics

Right now i just hit 70 500 defense..a few Bold set Pieces, Stalwart defender helm and so on.. starter tank lol my question is i have:

My rep is a little rough on my little tauren and i'm trying to get into heroics asap. I'm having an argument with the wife as to which is arguably better to use.. :-( I am also a hammersmith so the swords aren't gonna work to well for me >.>
I'm trying to get into Kara and heroics asap so i can help out my horde friends who haven't even been in there yet..coming from a T6 raiding lock is a bit of a stretch but man i love tanking not gonna lie.. Any help would be great on all fronts. I know i need the epixs as i gave up raiding i've been doing instances with my wife's priest non freaking stop..about 6-7 a day..sigh.

If you're hurting for stam than grom'tor's is better but for threat, I dunno, it's kind of a toss up. the blade has expertise but it only gives you 1 expertise... 6 gets rounded to only 1 unless you have 2 more expertise somewhere to make it 8 expertise rating. I'm not sure if that makes up for the 7.8 dps you're losing.

Well if you could dedicate a bit of time to dailies for the SSO at revered you could get this: Inuuro's Blade

But, if your running that many instances a day, you'd probably be better off to stick with Grom'tor's and maybe try farming heroic Mech for the The Sun Eater

Just a thought.

Grom'tor's charge will be better. Higher DPS makes up for the slight loss in expertise

I'm trying to get the gear so i can get to the level of heroics to get to mech and such..but i'm trying to get rid of some greens to rock out in Heroics.. I'm doing my dailies everyday to work the rep out. I might do the chain get the weapon and see if that works better.
