Bloodboil Tank Gearing

we are one or two nights away from hitting bloodboil for the first time and im slightly worried about two of our tanks being undergeared for it to the point of being detrimental - they are both competent from an exectution stand point, but at some point being able to move at the right time doesnt save you from getting squashed.

both joined recently which is why they are a little undergeared relative to our other tanks.

You could use the more undergeared one to take the first set of stacks (maybe a couple less if gear is that bad). Can't comment on the drood, I don't know enough about their setup.

In our case that was kinda me as I went from T4/badge into MH/BT so I'm still playing catchup. I did find I felt a bit too squishy trying to use threat gear (now use avoidance/stam), but at the time we were taking too many stacks (12+ before rotating). Dropping it to 8+ made it easier on survivability, but I'd look on survivability rather than threat generation at first, and look at damage during the BB phase.

You may find it a bit harder in terms of threat, rather than pure survivability (rotations in/out & the threat knockback), as you can do it and do it with silly numbers (think I had 21 stacks) when I got him the first time, but we could still smooth the rotations out, especially when coming back in. If you can stock up on dodge on demand trinkets and rotate them with the heavy damage/ticks you can compensate for being down on a couple of pieces of gear. Only part you can't really is if you loose the bloodboil person and he comes back at you. Can be survivable, but if you're already heavily stacked you're pretty much fooked, however well you're kitted.

We have recruited a warrior who raids with us only during this summer, so he was very undergeared for Gurtogg. Surprisingly, we did not have so much problems with him, for sure he could not survive many stacks of dots, but threat and survival were definitely not a problem.
His stuff was Kz/ZA/BoJ.
We were on a separate voice channel for this fight (communication between the tanks is VERY important imo, due to the random timers of his KB/disorient) so that we always knew how many debuffs we had on us. This worked fine, he died quickly.
