Idk about you guys but 1500 rated full venge teams are pissing me off, not to mention arena server just crashed on my server while I was in the middle of a long game =\
so far all I could find was:
2v2
holy pally- geared but no mic
I guess it'll be a while for personal rating gear, should be easier once everyone works their way up in the brackets to their correct location.
i've been looking for a decent geared druid or shammy and most of the decent ones are taken, tried to go with a pally, but meh, doesn't work that much. Plus the server's progression is pretty decent, so all i've seen so far is... well, T6+Warglaives rogues lol

mace stun or stupid cheat death procs has costed me and my 3v3 2 losses, we're 11-2 1627 rated but gonna shoot to end the week at 1800.
On another note.
These 2 rogues from my server, started s3 really late (the 1 rogue I teamed with once was wearing greens at one point) made a push for glad during the last 3 weeks and got it. 2400+ rated i think.
And now... after 2 days... they are 1927 rated. O_o.

I'm very curious to see if the "mix" of players is (in general) tougher this season. I think it possible that many low-rated players will choose to drop out, and thus make "average" play a higher standard.
If this happens, an 1800 this season might be bigger bragging rights and more difficult than a 2000 last season. But maybe not. Depends on who's in and who's out.
What are you finding so far?

My team is not going right now on purpose to try to "miss" last years killer teams and try to hit the more Casual ones

yesterday I was able to find a resto druid with only 280 resil but 2k experience on the tournament realm, he also tanks high-end raids as feral, so hopefully he knows what he's doing and I can get some personal ratings =D
