Respectable DPS as MT?

I know this question must have been asked before but after much searching I've not been able to find the answer...

What's a respectable to better than average DPS number for a MT prot warrior? I currently average about 215 to 250 at the moment, which I am assuming is pretty low. Sorry, but I've just recently become interested in DPS as I'm usually far more concerned about keeping everyone in the raid alive.

Your DPS doesn't matter at all, you just need that TPS number. I do about 300 most of the time I suppose.

It's a fact, as main tank your DPS will be terrible. Not even possible to get it near respectable.

Unless you significantly outgear the content you're doing, and are geared entirely for threat, your dps will be low. TPS is a much more important figure to pay attention to. Leave the DPSitis to your DPS.
