I've read the sticky at the top. Does the damage split calculated based off the MT's armor? In other words, can I throw in some green SR gear to get to 295 SR and lose a bit of health and armor and still get by?

As an off tank the strike is still mitigated/avoided based on your stats. But you should be good wearing some SR. You are only taking about 7k(?) every so often with more than enough time for you to be healed to full between them. Unless something is terribly wrong saber lash tanks should not die on this fight.

As a main tank wear your best gear
As an off tank, toss of a bit of shadow, it's high stam gear anyways!

Each part of the slash is calculated on the armor of the target.

the main tank has it calculated on his armor, the offtank 1 on his armor, and the offtank 2 on his armor.

So, don't wear cloths.

No cloth for me but I am losing about 1.5k armor to reach SR cap.

SR cap is not required here. I just use Night's End and Medallion of Karabor and max EH-Gear.

You can saber-soak without SR, althought it's not suggested since the mayority of the damage you might take is still shadow (the lash comes only every 10 seconds ~).

Just try to get 200ish SR, then max HP/armor. If you got the shield from mana tombs, don't use it.
