View Full Version : Muru / P1 Add Tanking

Hello,
we're currently trying Muru, but he's kicking our butt, or at least our feral.
I'm tanking the adds in the hallway, we've 3 hunters and a enhancment shaman and a mage who helps a lil. The first wave and if the mage has time in the other ones gets a nova, which seems to be pretty nice, since the adds have this spot where they have to be before attacking anything and if the nova gets them before that they wont attack. The adds go down pretty good, and cause of disarm, spellreflect and concussion blow and an occasional stun from the hunters the dmg i get is not insanly high.
Now our problem is the entrance, we've a feral tanking there. Three rogues, enhancment shamy and a fury warry. First of all the entrance seems to suck cause of the short way the adds have to walk before entering the combat.
One of the major problems is that our feral dies, cause of the spikes of dmg when the melees have flurry buffed. Another problem seems to be, when a new wave comes, mostly the 2. and 1 of the adds is stil alive, which usually happens, and the swipe of the feral just hits 2 of the new wave and the one of the old one, the third add just slashes our healers.
Any suggestions?

1. 3 rogues and a dps war on his side... so i have to ask, where are the stuns and disarms (not to mention the druids bash) to help him live?
2. not sure what the question here is, if you know the add's are up, then that is your problem right there.

He should be able to hit the AC cap on them without even trying and can stack the rest into stam.

the rogues usually try to take the caster out as much as possible, our warrior uses tc and disarm, the problem about that is that if a rog aggros the caster he can be oneshootet when the crit with a melee attack.
We tried switching sides but in the hallway a feral cant rally swipe cause the adds re not coming in a bundle, and to sheep one sux for the melees.
I guess im looking for some tactiacal advise, how other guilds do it, or if we should just kick the healers butt ;)
stimes there re little things which makes life easier, for example letting a shadow priest shielding a tank right before a stomp from brutallus.

Cool idea, but not possible for us since we just got one well geared prot pala^^

Dodge > Stamina on M'uru for add tanking because they have tiny individual damage hits, but attack very very fast. Plus, there's no Sunwell Radiance on M'uru so you can achieve high levels of avoidance much easier, especially as a druid.

Aside from that, his side has the upper hand just on group composition - so many stuns and a disarm. That fury mage should probably be blowing up near instantly, then you've got 4 stuns (3 rogues+druid) and a disarm to handle the last 2 berzerkers, all of which should be used on them during their flurry durations.
