currently using S1 shoulder to dps in raids .

would it be worth me getting Ripfiend Shoulderplates? Ripfiend Shoulderplates - Item - World of Warcraft (http://www.wowhead.com/?item=30740#) (DLK BoE drop) it says theyre worth 2k but i can get for 900g. i know 900g is nothing these days but how far away is an equivelent upgrade.

current stats are 1860 ap/29.7% crit/ 13% hit / 11k hp unbuffed

my guild has gruul and mag on farm and 1 boss down in both tk and ssc currently.

Thanks.

Your first upgrade to the Kazzak shoulders would be T5, and they'd be a sidegrade at best (although I'd use them because they look cooler). If you're killing VR, you may be able to afford to wait for them to drop. Apart from that you could get the shoulders from Hydross since you're not hurting for hit.

Ripfiend are better than both T5 and Wardancer; the first real upgrade are the chinese new year shoulders off Rage.

I would use tier 5 over ripfiend. The unnoticble dps difference is worth the massive stam and minor armor difference in my books.

Still, for pure DPS, Ripfiend are better, even if it is by a very small margin.

He is asking which is better in a raid environment. I you can get either ripfiend or tier 5 for raiding you should be picking the tier 5.

Then he should get whichever he can get first. I left the t5 to the tanks & healers and settled for Wardancer.
