Making MH/BT Wishlist

So my guild is asking for our wishlists... can I say what a headache I have picking what upgrades I want over others? Feels like it's really splitting hairs now.... I still need upgrades from SSC/TK but it's not like i'll be MT, right now i'm like the fourth tank since I just joined, my guild is very much ahead of me on gear so I dunno what upgrades I will be getting before we're done in there. I'm going to post my list, please lemme know what you think?

My guild uses DKP system so I don't know how Wish List works, but my thoughts:

You've included some Heroic Magister's/badge loots like Commendation of Kael'thas and Sunwell Badge loot Ring. Band of eternal defender is Hyjal Rep loot.

Some things you can find a decent replacement with badge gear. W/ your badge bracer and legs, Eternium Shell Bracers and T6 Leg can be pushed to the bottom of your wish list.

If you are a bit far behind in line and your guild is just getting into Hyjal/BT, maybe you should put items like Kaz'rogal's Hardened Heart as your #1 priority not Bulwark of Azzinoth -- because it is still going to be a while till Illidan. Also if you PVP, Vengeful Gladiator's Shield Wall is pretty decent. It is almost as good as Kaz'rogal shield imo.

T6 Shoulder is much better than Pauldrons of Abyssal Fury. But also lots of guilds get stuck in Mother for a while (mine did) because of SR gear unless your server already have guilds in BT who sells Hearts of Darknesses.

If you can get the helm from ZA, you can skip T6 helm.

A couple items that I think should be on top at this point:
The Unbreakable Will (With a combination of some badge gears and other items, I soft cap expertise easily without The Brutalizer, and you'll get to Anetheron really soon.)

Myrmidon's Treads
Shadowmoon Insignia
T6 Shoulders

Yeah I know I included some rep and badge gear... this includes my own personal list I should've mentioned ;) We use DKP too but they want a general idea of who needs what and I think it gets people motivated for pushing along too...

But thanks... it's kinda hard to know what to focus on when I look at this long list lol...

Before I comment on your whole thread I think you need to rethink some things.

Brutalizer is not better than unbreakable will.
Nor, is Unbreakable will better than Brutalizer.

A good tank has gear options for all encounters and what role (s)he is performing.

I don't believe I said either is better.

I have to prioritize my dkp. I have to be careful not to put my dkp on a second weapon if there are other upgrades I need. Maybe you have the luxury of rolling on whatever you like and not having to worry if you have the dkp to bid on any item. I do not. Although realistically Unbreakable Will will come first, I can have a preference -_-

The best thing you could do would be to replace the spyglass with the heroic MGT trinket iimo...Also, definately do ZA that helm is spectacular! Apart from that, the main thing you need to replace is your wep.

Nor, is Unbreakable will better than Brutalizer.



Definitely wrong, Brutalizer is better than Unbreakable Will for pretty much every situation.

Brutalizer is better in almost every situation than Unbreakable Will.

If you're human, Mallet of Tides provides you more threat than Unbreakable Will.

Otherwise, Brutalizer > all.
