Where to go?

Mornin all,

Been reading and lurking for a bit, and find myself in a little bind. I am in the position of being an OT (sometimes MT) of a guild who is just working through Kara. Raiding a few times a week and moving along. We aren't clearing it by any means but downing through chess weekly.

As my badges build up I am looking at upgrades, and while I understand the newest badges released are by far superior to most else out (have read the new badge rankings post), I am looking at upgrades.

So to get to the point I am wondering if the Coldarra shield is worth the badges. At the moment I am looking at the Shield and Slikk's Cloak as my biggest upgrades. (Still farming SL for the derned Trink. Thing won't drop.) In the end I am trying to make myself more survivable so that the Heroic runs go more smoothly, hence more badges more quickly, and then on to the newest gear. I think. Would hate to waste badges however, so I am asking here.

tbh I dont think its worth the badges, the shield off of nightbane is a great upgrade(for when you get him down) or you can just aim for the s1 shield (20 eots and 15k honor)

35 badges will get you the brooch which is awesome, you can save for the more superior pieces also.

My armory (http://www.wowarmory.com/character-sheet.xml?r=Azgalor&n=Phyredrke) as you can see I use the same shield and have tanked prince, netherspite, nightbane etc just fine. I just cant get a good shield to drop for me so I am opting for the s1 to hold me over.

Just Farm SSO rep and buy the shield from there. It's significantly better then the badge shield.
