Illidan hits are not getting blocked.

We have Illidan down but I'm just crusing the WWS report and I notice that the tank is taking some melee hits at full hits and they aren't blocked. He is passively uncrush to a dw mob, so I'm just wondering how is he taking an unblock hit?

Xyen is main tank.

I don't believe Illidan suffers from the dual wield penalty. Additionally, he doesn't crush, so it doesn't really matter if unblocked hits get through. That and if your tank is actively trying to block hits from Illidan instead of saving shield block for shears, you got bigger problems than unblocked hits getting through.

Seeing unblocked hits on Illidan is normal.

As mentioned before, Illidan doesn't suffer from a dual-wield miss penalty - but he also does not crush. His Shear ability cannot miss, so your tank has to save his Shield Block / Holy Shield ability to prevent shears. It's just a simple "can you do something other than spam buttons?"-check for tanks.

FWIW, he's not really capable of bursting through Holy Shield (would take 8 attacks + Shear's 1.5 sec cast in 10 seconds), and the attempt or two where I tried saving Holy Shield for Shear I ran into GCD issues.
