What gems to increase shield slam damage?

I'm trying to increase my shield slam damage in BGs. I just got a +33 SBV helm that has three sockets. What gems should I use to increase my damage output from shield slams?

There are no gems to increase damage from shield slams atm. You must wait for 2.4 . Metagem 10% SBV if I remember well.

Wouldn't +str increase the damage?

An Epic Str gem gives 10Str.

That's half a BV. .5BV.

Hardly worth it.

Perhaps then +crit would help land more?

Crit and Str or just plain crit for SS damage. Str mainly to raise a little white damage and to raise your sbv.
