Resistance Buffs?

Ok im trying to find out how much resistance I will need from gear to achive 365 for tanking hydross in either form.

Lets review what buffs are avlb:

Nature
+33 Gift from Druid
+70 Aspect from Hunter

Frost
+33 Gift from Druid
+70 Aura from Pally

Now I thought that the 33 and 70 stacked at one point or mabye im just crazy cause it dosent look like they do anymore. I also know you can get a Flask of Chromatic Wonder or sumthing to get +35 to all res (i think)

My goal is to reach 365 resistance with the most buffs possible to limit the amount of high stam regular tanking gear I have to remove to achive this.

Can anyone give some insight into how buffs are stacking these days?

my current nature res setup is:

Wildguard Helm , 50 + 20 nature resist enchant

Pendant of Withering, 30 nature resist

My old Mantle of Abrahmis , 7 nature resist Violet eye enchant

Devilshark Cape , 15 nature resist enchant

Wildguard Breastplate , 60 + 8 nature resist armor kit

Bracers of the Ancient Phalanx , EH/Threat

Iron Gauntlets of the Maiden , EH/Threat

Iron-Tusk Girdle , EH/Threat

Wildguard Leggings , 60 nature resist, 30 stam/10 agi enchant

Jungle Stompers, EH/Threat

The Natural Ward, 35 nature resist

Kara ring , EH

Brooch of the Immortal King, for def purposes

Adamantite Figurine, for def purposes

Mallet of The Tides

Aldori Legacy Defender

Crystalline Crossbow

this nets me at 295 nature resist. 13k unbuffed hkp, with a hunter 365 nature resist, plus 490 def.

works perfectly for me :)

Ya i like your set up, if I get some new shoulders I will keep my Mantle from Kara with the Res chant on it to move things around.

Im basically seeing that with out a flask, just gear and +70 buff from either a pally or hunter for the respective buff you need 295 for that particualr resistance to achive max res.

Yup. 295 without the +70 buff is your target for 70%(?) resistance.

For the record, 490 defense is unnecessary for Hydross. Our tanks have ~440 def, 13.5k hp and 295+ resist, we take him down in 6 minutes every time.

Yet, Hydross and adds can crit. It might work well most of the time, but if you get a half-resisted or quarter-resisted crit, you're likely wiping.

Don't forget about the 2.4 change with this food item Broiled Bloodfin - Items - World of Warcraft (http://www.wowhead.com/?item=33867), its only 8 resistance but its 8 if you need it.
