View Full Version : Shear and intervene

is it possible to intervene the MT while shear is casting and take it for him? i'm assuming it can be since it's an attack that can be blocked/dodge/parried. this would make it more possible for druids to tank him. granted intervene has a rather long CD so the number of warriors required to make sure every single one was taken is probably not worth it, but would still be interesting to know.

well, even if it was possible (which i doubt, since intervene absorbs damages but not other effects) (p.s. does shear actually damage the tank?) anyway, you would need, like, 4 warriors intervening the druid tank to allow that. I'm not really sure it's some good idea.

If shear doesn't damage the tank btw, that 100% doesn't work. Also if it does, since Intervene absorbs damage, not debuffs, it won't work anyway :)

Perhaps the other issue is more than one target in front of him (during intervene) when a possible draw soul comes up.

Shear - Spells - World of Warcraft (http://www.wowhead.com/?spell=41032)

According to WoWHead, Shear deals no damage, so Intervene would not do anything i fear.

Bumping just for info.

On our kill today, one of our warriors intervened me and it happened to happen at same time as a Shear. He got hit and Sheared, so yes, intervene stops Shear.

Intervene grabs the next attack ( ranged or physical ) , Shred is a physical attack ( but no damage ) , intervene works.
We do this on some encounter ( Gruul , Leo, Supremus Phase2..)

Just on another note, illidan got tanked today by this druid
without intervene, nerf dodges :)
